Project Islam Center

In May 2026, The Giving Hand took another meaningful step forward in Uganda. This time, our focus was on creating a lasting space for both spiritual growth and educational development.

Thanks to the support of generous donors and the dedication of our local partners, we helped open a mosque. Our role included facilitating the process, offering guidance and mobilizing the necessary resources. It has now become a central place of worship and unity for the surrounding community.

Alongside this, we also began building an Islamic center that doubles as an orphanage. Here, children not only find a safe place to live but also receive an education rooted in both academics and faith. They study the Quran and are guided on their path to becoming hafiz.

This project reflects our commitment to building strong, resilient communities where every child has a chance to grow, learn and thrive.
